Finding businesses and events in Findlay can be surprisingly difficult. Many resources rely on you already knowing what you’re looking for, and others are outdated or hard to use. I created HelloFindlay to fix that by offering:

The directory is preloaded with some Google listings to get things started, but there’s still plenty of room to grow. Here are some of the features available right now:

To keep things running smoothly, here are some important rules for using the directory:

1. Claiming Listings: If you see your business listed and want to claim it, you’ll need to provide evidence that you’re the owner. Using a business email is the fastest way, especially if I can verify it against publicly available information like your website or social media.
2. Submitting Listings: Anyone can submit a business or event, even if it’s not officially registered or listed elsewhere.
3. Reviews and Disputes: All businesses can be reviewed, and disputes will be handled as fairly as possible. Evidence helps expedite this process, but I reserve the right to remove content at my discretion.
4. Liability: While I’ll do my best to ensure accuracy and fairness, I can’t be held responsible for claims, reviews, or disputes that may harm a business’s reputation or finances.

The Future of HelloFindlay

Right now, HelloFindlay is completely free, and my goal is to keep it that way. However, if traffic grows significantly and additional features like Google Maps or booking functionalities add overhead costs, I may need to introduce small fees for specific features to cover expenses.
